I am sitting here in the laundry mat waiting for my clothes to dry, and my heart is so full. I think it has something to do with the Grand Canyon. We went there two days ago, and I was so overwhelmed with the majesty, I couldn't breathe. I still can't. I was/am in the presence of God. He is so big. Then we met Josef. I don't know where that will lead. God will have to open doors for anything further to happen, but Josef wants his cousin to meet us so bad. He feels like his cousin would find God if he did. I have been praying for that to happen, but it is in God's hands. But, no matter what, our encounter with Josef was God ordained. We will all be forever changed, and God is glorified.
OH THE PLACES WE GO!
THE GRAND CANYON! Of all the places I have ever been in my life, this is the most amazing. I couldn't breathe. Majestic. Awe inspiring. Holy. There were many people who couldn't see it. I could tell by their eyes and their countenance. But as we were heading back, I looked up and there was a blind girl way up at the top. She had her white cane, and her boyfriend was making sure she didn't fall. She wanted to "see" the Grand Canyon. I went back to see if I could get a picture, but I barely did. LORD, let her blind eyes see. Let all of our blind eyes see. In Jesus' name.
CATHEDRAL WASH: From the time we turn off of the road at Marble Canyon to go to Lee's Ferry where we are camped, it is six miles. Beautiful. Oh my goodness! But we noticed every time we went past this certain place, there were cars parked there. This morning we went and found that there are two hiking trails called The Cathedral Wash. One leads toward the Vermillion Cliffs and the other leads down to the Colorado River. We took the one toward the river. Oh my! So much fun. We didn't make it all the way down because it became too "technical." In others words, too steep and hard. My husband wanted to do it so bad. I kept reminding him that he wasn't 25 anymore. If our boys had been here, it would have happened. As for me. NO. We also hiked the upper Cathedral. Amazing. It is like I can feel the power of God in nature.
OH THE PEOPLE WE SEE:
JOSEF. Wow! Read my previous blog. If the LORD decides to open this door, we could have an inside track to share the Good News to people in very high places in the Czech Republic. We will see. God is so good. My heart has turned now toward praying for this country. First it was the Indian nations. Now the Czech Republic. LORD, send Your Spirit into places that seem so desolate. Bring life. Bring health. Bring hope. Send Your kindness. Set Your people free. Continue to use Josef. Continue to cause him to hunger and thirst after righteousness so that You can fill him. Continue to guide him and lead him into all truth. LORD, may the spirit of wisdom and understanding and the spirit of counsel and might and the spirit of the fear of the LORD and knowledge be upon him. Let him not go by what he sees or hears, but with righteousness let him make judgments.
MOMENTS THAT TAKE MY BREATH AWAY.
The Grand Canyon.
The Vermilion Cliffs.
The Colorado River.
It is all too big right now. I am seeing/sensing God everywhere.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST:
TOTAL FOR WEEK 4: $608.83
We have officially been on the road for four months. There is so much to see. So much to do. We have never come close to what we are experiencing now. All I can say is, "God is big!"
